ENG vs WI: Cricket returns, ECB announces schedule for Test series against Windies

Great news for cricket fans, for the last almost three months due to the lockdown there were no International matches around the world. But, now, the England Cricket Board (ECB) as confirmed that they have received permission from the government to play a 3-match Test series against the West Indies on Tuesday.

With this, the international cricket which was closed due to Covid-19 lockdown will return once again to the field. The special thing is that the ECB has also announced the schedule for the home series against the West Indies.
The test series between the two countries will start with the first Test match, which is scheduled on 8th July in Southampton. The second match of the series will be played in Manchester on 16th July and the final match of the series will also be played in Manchester on 24th July.

However, the West Indies staff members and the team will reach England on June 9 and all of them will be quarantined for a period of 14 days.

  • 1st Test: 8 July, Aegis Bowles, Southhampton
  • 2nd Test: 16 July, Old Trafford, Manchester
  • 3rd Test: 24th July, Old Trafford, Manchester
