Who is Jack Hobbs?

Jack Hobbs was a former England cricketer, who holds the record of scoring the most runs and centuries in first-class cricket. Mr.Hobbs was born on 16 December 1882 in Cambridge and rested on 21 December 1963.


In 1908, Hobbs made his International Test debut for England in which he scored 83 runs in the first innings. He scored three centuries against Australia in 1911–12. After this performance, he was considered the greatest batsman in the world.
