Former Pakistan Star captain said goodbye to cricket, retired after playing for 15-years
These days the world of sports is completely stalled due to the deadly coronavirus epidemic spread across the world. On the other hand, women's cricket veteran and former Pakistan captain Sana Mir has announced retirement from international cricket on Saturday.


Sana Mir represented Pakistan women's cricket team for 15 years and at the age of 34, she decided to say goodbye. She took social media to thank her fans, family and board and announced her retirement from the game.
She wrote, In the last few months I got a chance to think. I think this is the right time. I have given my best to the game and to my country. I'm thankful to all the support staff, the players, the field staff and all those who supported me from behind. I also thank my family and guardians who gave me unconditional support and fulfilled my dream of representing Pakistan.


She further added, During my career, I made many best friends in women's cricket, with whom I have very strong bonding. Listening to their experience and stories about life not only helped me become a stronger athlete, but I also learned many good things from them. All these things are above defeat or victory.

Sana Mir Career Record:
Sana Mir made her international ODI debut in 2005 against Sri Lanka in Karachi. At the same time, she played her last ODI against Bangladesh in November 2019 in Lahore. She took 151 wickets in 120 ODIs and scored 1630 runs.


She is jointly fourth in the list of women bowlers who have taken the most wickets in ODI cricket while occupying the third place among the batsmen who have scored the most runs.

Sana Mir made her T20I debut against Ireland in Dublin in 2009. The last T20 match she played was against Bangladesh in October 2019. In her T20 career, she had played 106 matches and took 89 wickets and also scored 802 runs.
