India defeated Bangladesh by a big margin of an innings and 46 runs in the historic day-night Test played in Kolkata and won the two-match series by 2-0. Bangladesh's second innings was reduced to 195 runs on the third day.
Earlier, Bangladesh had scored just 106 runs in the first innings, in response India scored 347/9 and took a lead of 241 runs. Ishant Sharma was adjudged Man of the Match for taking 9 wickets in the match. He was also adjudged Man of the Series for 12 wickets in the series.
Bangladesh's second innings was reduced to 195 runs in 41.1 overs, playing ahead of the score 152/6 on the third day. Mushfiqur Rahim scored 74 runs, but no other batsman than him could make a big score.
Al Amin Hossain scored 21 runs and Ebadot Hosain was dismissed without opening an account. Abu Jayed remained unbeaten after scoring 2 runs. While Mahmudullah did not come to bat again due to hamstring injury.
For India, Umesh Yadav took five wickets in the second innings, while Ishant Sharma took four wickets.
Significantly, this is India's fourth consecutive win by an innings difference. In the first Test, India defeated Bangladesh by an innings and 130 runs.
