AUS vs PAK: Australia beat Pakistan by an innings and 5 runs, Babar Azam scored a brilliant century



Australia defeated Pakistan by an innings and 5 runs in the first Test match played in Brisbane. Pakistan scored 240 runs in the first innings, in response to which Australia scored a huge first innings score of 580 runs.

In the second innings on the fourth day of the game, the Pakistani team was dismissed by 335 runs and the Kangaroo team win the match. Marcus Labuschagne was adjudged Man of the Match for his 185-run knock. With this victory, Australia is 1-0 ahead in the series.



Earlier, Pakistan got their fourth setback soon after playing ahead of yesterday's score of 64/3. Yesterday's unbeaten batsman Shaan Masood was out for 42 at the score of 93. After this, Iftikar Ahmed also returned to the pavilion without opening an account at a score of 94.

From here Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan handled the innings and shared 132 runs partnership for the sixth wicket. Babar Azam scored a brilliant century and was dismissed for 104 runs.



Mohammad Rizwan also played a fine knock 95 runs. In the lower order, he shared a 79-run partnership with Yasir Shah (42 runs) but could not save the team from innings defeat and the entire team was reduced to 335 runs.

For Australia, Josh Hazlewood took 4 wickets. The second and last match of the series will be played in Adelaide from 29 November. This match will be a day-night Test.
