IND vs NZ: New Zealand team announced for T20 against India, this bowler returned after 2 years

New Zealand has announced its squad for the upcoming T20 series against India. The Kiwi team will host India for a 5-match T20 series starting for 24th January. For this series, New Zealand team management has included a fast bowler who will be returning after 2 years.

Hamish Bennett has been called up for the series with the intention to strengthen their bowling department. While Boult and Ferguson are still recovering from injuries suffered on the recent Test tour of Australia.
The 32-year-old pacer last played in 2017 against Bangladesh. That too when many of his teammates were busy playing in the IPL. Although he has not played T20 at the international level, his performance at the domestic level has earned him the place in the team.

Bennett will now be part of a bowling attack, which includes, spinners Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi, along with Tim Southee, Blair Ticker and Scott Kugleijn in the pace bowling department.
