The Brisbane Heat have won the Women's Big Bash League title for the second time in a row. With this, they have equalled the Sydney Sixers record of winning the most Women's Big Bash League title's.
Batting first, Adelaide striker scored 161 for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. Amanda Jade Wellington scored 55 runs. Georgia Prestwidge and Sammy Johnson took 2 wickets each from the Brisbane Heat.
The target was easily achieved by the Brisbane Heat in just 18.1 overs. Opener Beth Mooney remained unbeaten on 56 off 45 balls. Apart from this, Jess Jonassen also scored 33 runs. Beth Mooney was adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant innings. Adelaide striker's Sophie Devine (16 innings, 769 runs) was adjudged Player of the Tournament.
The Big Bash League season began on 8 October. During this period, 56 matches were played in total in the league stage for 2 months. In the first semi-final match on 7 December, the Adelaide striker defeated Perth Scorchers by 8 wickets. In the second semi-final match, the Brisbane Heat defeated Melbourne Renegades by 4 wickets.
