IND vs WI, 2nd ODI: Pant and Iyer broke Sachin Tendulkar's 20-year-old record in Vizag

In the second ODI against West Indies in Vizag, India's young batsmen Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer created a great record.

Iyer and Pant together added crucial 73 run partnership for the fourth wicket. During this time, these two batsmen also achieved the record of scoring the most runs in an over for India in ODIs.

Iyer and Pant scored a total of 31 runs in the 47th over of Roston Chase, breaking the record of 28 runs scored in one over against New Zealand in 1999 by legendary Indians Sachin Tendulkar and Ajay Jadeja.
The over started with a no-ball and Pant got a free hit, which he could not take special advantage and gave the strike to Iyer. After which Iyer smashed Chase all round the park. Iyar and Pant scored a total of 31 runs in the over with the help of 4 sixes and a four.

Shreyas Iyer scored 53 runs off 32 balls with the help of 3 fours and 4 sixes. It's worth mentioning that, it was Iyer's 4th consecutive half-century. At the same time, Pant scored 39 runs off just 16 balls with the help of 3 fours and 4 sixes.
