WC 2019: Australia team announced for World Cup, Smith and Warner returns, See the squad

The Cricket Australia has announced a 15-member team for the upcoming ICC World Cup which is to be held in England from May 30.

Dangerous opening batsmen David Warner and Steve Smith are back in the team, while Josh Hazlewood and Peter Handscomb have failed to make their place. Aaron Finch will lead the team in the World Cup.

The selector's chairman Trevor Hones said, "Steve Smith and David Warner are back in the team, both are world class players and they look in good form in the IPL. We have to make tough decisions for the selection of the final 15 players.

Unfortunately, Peter Handscomb, Aston Turner and Kane Richardson have not been selected in the team but all three have been selected for the tour of England in Australia A team.

The defending champions Australia will start its world cup campaign against the Afghanistan team on June 1st.
