IPL 2019: Mumbai beat RCB by 6 runs, de Villiers scores 70 runs, umpires make an error in no ball

In the 7th match of the IPL 2019 which was played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chinnaswamy stadium on Thursday. In this match, Mumbai defeated Bangalore by 6 runs.

Batting first Mumbai Indians scored 187/8, in response, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored 181/5 in 20 overs. Bumrah was chosen as the man of the match for his superb bowling. This is the 2nd consecutive defeats of Royal Challengers Bangalore in this season.

Mumbai Indians Innings:

Earlier, Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Mumbai Indians started well with Rohit Sharma and de Kock added 54 runs for the first wicket. Rohit Sharma scored  48 off 33 and Suryakumar Yadav scored quick 38 off 24 balls

Hardik Pandya ended the innings with an unbeaten 32 off 14 balls. For RCB, Yuzvendra Chahal took 4 wickets for 38 runs and Mohammed Siraj-Umesh Yadav took two wickets each.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Innings:

In response to the target, RCB had a good start and scored 60/1 at end of the powerplay, but in the seventh over, Mayank Markande dismissed Parthiv for 31 and RCB needed 106 runs to win in the last 10 overs.

Virat Kohli made a quick partnership of 49 along with AB de Villiers, but in the 14th over, Jasprit Bumrah got rid of Virat Kohli for 46 runs. Although AB De Villiers stood at one end and Bangalore's 61 runs needed to win in the last five overs.

De Villiers played a sensational inning of 70 runs in 41 balls, but he could not take his team home and Mumbai Indians won the match by 6 runs.

Last ball controversy:

RCB needed 7 runs off the last ball, and the last ball of the match which Malinga had bowled was a no ball, but the umpire didn't notice and made an error which eventually made Mumbai Indians win the game.
