Finally, The BCCI has announced the full schedule for all the matches of the Indian Premier League for the upcoming 12th Season on Tuesday.

The Defending champions Chennai Super Kings will play the first match of the tournament on 23rd March with Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium and the final league match will be played on May 5.

Earlier due to the general election, the BCCI had announced the schedule for the first two weeks, but now all the matches have been released. However, still, the BCCI has not announced the 4 matches of playoffs and the final match dates. According to sources, the date of these matches will also be announced in a few days.

During this period, A total of 56 matches including the playoffs will be played in which each team will play 14 matches before the playoff and each franchise will play the same opponent twice once at home and once away.
