IPL 2019: RCB faced a humiliating defeat against Chennai, all-out for 70 runs, 8 records created



Defending champions Chennai Super Kings thrashed Royal Challengers Bangalore by 7 wickets in the opening match of IPL 2019 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on Saturday.

Imran Tahir and Harbhajan Singh claimed three wickets each as RCB stumbled for a paltry 70 runs after CSK invited them to bat first.

In response, the home team had a slow start of 16/1 in the power play. Ambati Rayudu top-scored with 28 runs, while Kedar Jadhav remained unbeaten on 13 and Ravindra Jadeja added 6 runs to his name and helped CSK to chase down the low target of 71 in the 18th over with 14 balls to spare.
