The third and final T20 match which was being played between South Africa and Pakistan in SuperSport Park, Centurion on Wednesday. In this match, Pakistan beat South Africa in a thrilling encounter by 27 runs and ended the tour by the finishing the 3-match T20 series by 2-1.
Earlier in the match, South African team captain David Miller won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. Batting first, Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman could not give the team a good start once again, Babar was out for 23 in 11 balls while Fakhar contributed 17 of 17 balls.
All-rounder Shadab Khan scored 22 runs off 8 balls with 3 sixes and helped to post a decent total of 168/9 for Pakistan in 20 overs, while on behalf of South Africa Beuran Hendricks picked four wickets for 14 runs and Morris took 2 wickets.
In reply to the target, South Africa had a disastrous start as Shaheen Afridi showed Reeza Hendricks the path to the Pavilion in the second over and South Africa lost half their side for 72 runs.
However, Chris Morris played an unbeaten knock of 55-run off 29 balls and took his team close to the target of Pakistan. South Africa scored 141/9 in 20 overs and lost the match by 27 runs.
During this period, Amir left India's veteran spin bowler Ravichandran Ashwin behind in the case of most wicket in T20Is. Ashwin has picked 52 wickets in 46 matches, while Amir has now taken 55 wickets in 42 T20s.
