On the 5th and final day of the Irani trophy which is being played between Vidarbha and Rest of India in Nagpur.
Playing on behalf of 'Rest of India' Hanuma Vihari scored a glorious century, he scored unbeaten 180 runs off 309 balls with 19 fours and 4 sixes. This is his second century of the match, Vihari scored 114 runs in the first innings. On the first day of the match, Batting first, 'Rest of India' scored 330 with the help of Hanuma Vihari's 114 runs. However, this score against Vidarbha proved to be quite less. In reply, The Ranji champions Vidarbha scored 425 runs and took the lead of 95 runs.
After lagging in the first innings, the Rest of India was under pressure. However, Hanuma Vihari and Ajinkya Rahane shared a 229-run partnership for the third wicket and declared the Innings at 379/3 by giving Vidarbha a target of 280 runs.
In reply, Vidarbha scored 269 runs by losing 5 wickets with 11 runs needing to win the match. However, the match was called off for the draw and Vidarbha won the Irani trophy for the second consecutive time on the basis of first innings lead.
