IND vs AUS: BCCI announces 13-member squad for Sydney Test, Ishant Sharma dropped

The Test series between India and Australia is now on its final stage. With just a day left for the final test, the Indian selection committee has announced the 13-member squad for the Sydney test starting from 3rd January. 

Unfortunately, Ishant Sharma is not named in the 13-member squad for the final test in Sydney Cricket Ground. In place of Ishant, Umesh Yadav has been included in the team again. Rohit Sharma is out due to personal reasons, while Ashwin can make his comeback in the match.

Ashwin failed fitness test, why Ishant was dropped out?

Ashwin's name is definitely in the 13-member team but the final decision will be done before the match. That's because Ashwin was failing in fitness test a day earlier.

Now if Ashwin proves his fitness on the day of the match, then he will be added in the Playing XI. However, Ishant's absence in the team is due to discomfort he felt in his left rib cage.

Who will open for India in Sydney test?

Who will open for Team India with Mayank Agarwal in the Sydney Test, this would be a big question. When Rohit Sharma is not in the middle order in Sydney, who will open with Mayank is the big question? Hanuma Vihari or KL Rahul.
