ICC Test Championship: India faces a tough challenge from this team, See the points table

ICC Test Championship: The Indian team is positioned No.1 in the World ICC Test Championship, but the Australian team is steadily reducing the points difference in the latest ICC Test Championship points table.

Australia's team gained 120 points after defeating New Zealand by 3-0 in the 3-match Test series. With this, the Kangaroo team has reduced the difference of points with the Indian team and is currently placed in the second position.

Australian team narrows the points difference with India:

In the ICC World Test Championship, the Indian team is in first place with 360 points, while the Australian team is ranked second with 296 points.

The difference in points between India and Australia is just 64 points. Prior to New Zealand, the Australian team defeated Pakistan in the 2-match Test series and gained 120 points.

Luckily for India, the Test series between Australia and Sri Lanka was not played under the ICC World Test Championship, due to which Australia did not get any points or else they would have in the first place leaving India behind in the points table.

ICC Test Championship - Points Table:

In the points table, Sri Lanka and Pakistan are in third and fourth position with 80 points each. New Zealand is in fifth place with 60 points.

ODI World Cup champions, England are placed in the sixth position with 56 points and South Africa is in 7th place with 30 points. Currently, both the teams are playing 4-match Test series, with South Africa winning the first match to take an early lead in the series.
