Indian team opener Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the T20 series against the West Indies. According to the report, Sanju Samson has been included in the team in his place. Dhawan suffered a knee injury during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and was thus ruled out of the T20 series.

Dhawan suffered this injury against Maharashtra in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Super League match. In order to avoid being run out, Dhawan dived and he was injured during this time. He was bleeding from his knee when he returned to the pavilion after being dismissed.

The selection committee chairman MSK Prasad was in Surat during that match and NCA physio Ashish Kaushik was also present.
Let us tell you that the 3-match T20 series between India and West Indies will be played from 6 December. The first match will be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Sanju Samson was also included in the squad for the T20 series against Bangladesh but did not get a chance in the playing XI in any match. He was then dropped from the series against the West Indies. Samson will hope that he gets a chance to play this time.
