AFG vs WI: Afghanistan announces squad for the Only Test against West Indies

Afghanistan has announced the squad for the only Test against West Indies in Lucknow starting from 27 November. Karim Janat and Nizat Masood have been given a chance for the first time in the Afghanistan team.

Janat's performance has been very good in recent times and he did well with the bat and ball in the second match of the T20 series against the West Indies. It was because of his performance that the Afghanistan team defeated the West Indies in the T20 series.
Let me tell you that this is going to be the fourth Test match for Afghanistan and it will be the first match, which they are going to play without Mohammad Nabi. Mohammad Nabi had announced his retirement from Test cricket after the Test match against Bangladesh. Shapoor Zadran, Hashmatullah Shahidi and Syed Shirzad have also not got a chance in the tea

Apart from this, Hamza Hotak and Nasir Jamal have returned to the team. Hamza returning to international cricket after almost two years, Jamal played his last match against Zimbabwe in March last year.

The Afghanistan team has played 3 Test matches so far, winning two matches and losing their first match against India.

Rashid Khan (captain), Asghar Afghan, Ibrahim Zadran, Javed Ahmadi, Rahmat Shah, Karim Janat, Qais Ahmad, Ikram Ali (wicketkeeper), Afsar Zazai, Nasir Jamal, Zahir Khan, Yamin Ahmedzai, Hamza Hotak, Nizat Masood and Ihsanullah Janat.
