IND vs BAN: Bangladesh names two new captains for T20 & Test series against India



The Bangladesh Cricket Board has appointed new captains after Shakib Al Hasan being banned for two years by ICC. Mominul Haque has been appointed as the Bangladesh captain for the Test series against India. While Mahmudullah Riyadh will captain the team in the T20 series.
Bangladesh Cricket Board also made some changes in the team and announced new names in place of injured players. Making two changes to the T20 squad, Abu Haider Roni has been replaced by Mohammad Saifuddin. Mohammad Mithun has been replaced for Tamim Iqbal.

Saifuddin was out due to a back injury and Tamim Iqbal backed out of the tour due to personal reasons. While Taijul Islam has been included in the T20 squad in place of Shakib Al Hasan. The left-arm spinner made his T20 tri-series debut against Zimbabwe this year and has played just two matches so far. 20-year-old Saif Hasan has been included in Bangladesh's team in Test cricket. Apart from this, Al Amin Hossain has also got a place, he played his last Test match in 2014 and now he has been able to come back after a long time. Ebadat Hossain has also managed to make a place in the Test team.

Mahmudullah (C), Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Naim, Mushfiqur Rahim, Afif Hossain, Mosaddek Hossain, Aminul Islam, Arafat Sunny, Al-Amin Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Shafiul Islam, Mohammad Mithun, Taijul Islam, Abu Hider.

Bangladesh Test Squad:

Shadman Islam, Imrul Kayes, Saif Hassan, Mominul Haque (C), Liton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Mohammad Mithun, Mosaddek Hossain, Mehidy Hasan, Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman, Al-Amin Hossain, Abu Jayed, Ebadat Hossain.
