The 49th match of the IPL 2019 which was played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals in Bangalore. The match started late due to rain and finally, 5 overs for each match was conducted.
However the match lasted for just 50 deliveries and in the second innings, there was heavy rain again, after which the match was declared abandoned and both the teams shared a point each while Rajasthan Royals have moved up to the fifth position with 11 points.
Royal Challengers Bangalore Innings:
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals won the toss and decided to bowl first. After the rain for almost 3 hours, the match start as Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers opened the Innings and gave the best start and scored 23 runs in the first over.
In the second over, Kohli hit a four and a six but Gopal then made a great comeback and dismissed Virat Kohli (25 runs), AB de Villiers (10 runs) and Marcus Stonis (0) and took a hat-trick. And RCB scored 62 for 7 in 5 overs.
Rajasthan Royals Innings
In reply, Rajasthan Royals, Sanju Samson played a quick knock of 28 off 13 balls he scored 18 runs of Kulwant over help with two sixes and one four and before the rain started again, Rajasthan had scored 41/1 in 3.2 overs.
RCB Officially out of IPL 2019:
RCB now has only nine points with 4 wins after 13 matches and if they are successful in winning their last match then they will have only 11 points and will not be able to qualify for the play-off in any situation. Bangalore's last match will be against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 4.
Talking about Rajasthan Royals, after their 13 matches, there have 11 points with 5 wins. If Rajasthan is to reach the play-off, they will first have to win the match against the Delhi Capitals on May 4 with a big margin and also hope other results go in their favour.
