IPL 2019: Kings XI needed 11 runs of 6 balls, Rahul scores 71 runs, 4 records created

In the 22nd match, Kings XI Punjab defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in a late-night thriller which was played in Mohali by 6 wickets. In this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and scored 150 runs in 20 overs.

In reply, Kings XI Punjab lost 4 wickets and won the match in the last over. KL Rahul was adjudged Man of the Match for his brilliant innings of 71 runs.

Earlier, R Ashwin won the toss and opted to field first. Batting first, Sunrisers Hyderabad started poorly and lost the wicket Johnny Bairstow (1) in the second over. After this, David Warner played a very slow partnership with Vijay Shankar for the second wicket and took the score to 50/1 in 10 overs.

Warner and Manish added a crucial partnership of 55 runs for the fourth wicket and took the teams to a total of 150/4 in 20 overs. David Warner remained unbeaten after scoring 70 off 62 balls. For Punjab, Shami, Ashwin and Mujeeb took one wicket each.

Kings XI Punjab Innings:

In response, Kings XI lost the wicket of Chris Gayle (16) in the fourth over. However, after that, KL Rahul and Agarwal added 114 runs stand for the second wicket. Later, Rahul completed his half-century in 34 balls. In the 17th over, Mayank Agarwal also completed his half-century in 40 balls.

Mayank Agarwal scored 55 runs in 43 balls and David Miller scored one run in three balls and In the 19th over, Mandeep Singh was also out for just two runs and in the last over the hosts needed 11 runs to win.

KL Rahul played an unbeaten knock of 71 runs in 53 balls and gave the team victory with one ball to spare. For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Sandeep Sharma took two wickets and Rashid Khan and Siddharth Kaul took one wicket each.
