DC vs CSK: Chennai beat Delhi in a thriller by 6 wickets, changes in the points table

Chennai Super Kings defeated Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets in the fifth match of the IPL 2019 in Delhi's Feroz Shah Kotla. Batting first, Delhi scored 147/6 in 20 overs, in response Chennai won the match by 4 wickets and Shane Watson was adjudged Man of the Match for his stormy Innings.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals won the toss and elected to bat first on a slow track. Batting first, Delhi had a decent start and scored 43/1 in the powerplay, Prithvi Shaw scored 24 and Shikhar Dhawan completed his half-century and scored 51 off 47 balls.

In the last five overs, Delhi Capitals made just 29 runs and lost four wickets and after the dismissal of Rishabh Pant, Chennai Super Kings had made a tremendous return. Dwayne Bravo picked three wickets and Ravindra Jadeja, Imran Tahir and Deepak Chahar took one wicket each.

In reply, Chennai Super Kings had poor as Ambati Rayudu was out on 5 in the third over, but after that Shane Watson along with Suresh Raina added 52-run partnership. Watson scored 44 off 26 balls and Raina contributed 30 off 16.

Chennai needed 51 runs in the last 10 overs, Captain Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav added 48 runs. Dhoni scored 32 off 35 and Kedar 27 off 34 and helped their team to win their second game of the season.

Changes in the Point Table:

With the win, the Chennai Super Kings has reached the top position in the points table, while Delhi's team has slipped from first place to second place and Punjab is at third place.
