BAN vs NZ: Tamim Iqbal creates history, scored a brilliant century, leaves Gambhir behind



In the first Test match of the 3-match test series between Bangladesh and New Zealand, which is being played in Hamilton's Seddon Park. On Day 1, Bangladesh bundled out for 234 runs in 59.2 overs. In reply, the host scored 86 runs without losing any wickets at the end first day's play.
At stumps, The Kiwi openers Jeet Raval scored 51* runs and Tom Latham scored 35* runs. While, on behalf of Bangladesh, Tamim Iqbal played a superb inning of 126 runs and took his team to a decent first innings score.

Early, New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Bangladeshi openers Tamim Iqbal and Shadman Islam gave an explosive start of 57 runs in 10.2 overs. And later Bangladesh kept on losing wickets regularly, but Tamim Iqbal held one end and scored 126 runs off just 128 balls with 21 fours and 1 six.

For New Zealand, Neil Wagner picked 5 wickets for 47 runs in 16.2 overs and Tim Southee took 2 wickets, while Trent Bolt and Colin de Grandhomme contributed with one wicket each.
