BAN vs NZ, 1st Test: New Zealand scores 715 runs, Williamson hits double century, breaks Amla's record

On the 3rd day of the first Test match which is being played between New Zealand and Bangladesh in Hamilton. In reply to Bangladesh's 234 runs, New Zealand scored massive 715/6 runs and declared their first innings.

This is the highest score in the history of Test cricket for New Zealand. Apart from scoring the highest score, New Zealand became the 7th team to score 700 plus runs in a Test inning.
For New Zealand, Tom Latham scored 161 runs and Vijay Rawal contributed 132 runs and added a massive 254 opening stand. With this massive first innings total, the Kiwi team took 481 runs lead, after dismissing  Bangladesh for 234 runs in the first innings.
Apart from Latham and Raval, Kiwi captain Kane Williamson scored a brilliant double century and also become the first New Zealander to score 20 centuries in Test cricket.

Apart from this, he.also became the fourth New Zealand batsman to score 6000 runs in Tests. Before him, Stephen Fleming, Ross Taylor, Brendon McCullum have achieved this milestone.

Kane Williamson breaks the record of Hashim Amla:

Kane Williamson who completed his 6000 runs in test cricket, become the fastest New Zealander and also broke the big record of legendary South African batsmen Hashim Amla.

Indeed, Williamson reached 6000 runs in his 126th test Innings, while Hashim Amla took 128 Innings to complete his 6000 runs. While Don Bradman holds the record of fastest batsmen to score 6000 runs, he took just 68 innings to reach this milestone.
