Sri Lanka team announced for ODI series against South Africa, Malinga to lead the team

Few days after winning the thrilling first test match against South Africa in Durban, The Sri Lankan team management has announced the squad for the 5-match ODI series against the home team South Africa.

Vishwa Fernando who was involved in the last wicket stand along with Kusal Perera in the historic win in the first test against South Africa has been included in the team. Apart from his batting, he also took 8 wickets. While unfortunately, Dinesh Chandimal has been dropped again.

Meanwhile, the biggest problem for Sri Lanka will be, their veteran all-rounder Angelo Mathews could not recover from hamstring Injury, which makes him unavailable for the selection. The legendary pace bowler Malinga will lead the Sri Lankan team in this series. Significantly, the first match of the series will be played in Johannesburg on 3rd March.
