Team India on verge of making yet another world record in the upcoming 3-match T20 series against the home team New Zealand. The first T20 match between the two sides will be played on 6 February, Wednesday in Wellington's Westpac Stadium.
It's worth mentioning that, Pakistan holds the world record of most T20 series wins without being defeated (11), but this winning streak ended after losing the first two matches of the T20 series against South Africa. This was the first series defeat since the T20 World Cup 2016 for Pakistan.
With this defeat of Pakistan, India now has a chance to equalize this world record. But for this, it would be necessary for India to win or at least the draw the T20 series against New Zealand.
India has not lost their last 10 T20 series:
If India wins the T20 series against New Zealand or even draws it, they will equalize the world record of Pakistan, in the case of most T20 series without losing. India has won 8 of their last 10 T20 series, while 2 series ended on a draw.
Since July 2017, India defeated Sri Lanka in home by (1-0), New Zealand in home series by (2-1), Sri Lanka in home series (3-0), South Africa in their home (2-1 ), Nidahas Trophy title, Ireland in their home (2-0) and England in their home (2-1), West Indies (3-0) in home series and against Australia in home and away 1-1 respectively.
