Yorker king Malinga was bought for the base price of 2 crores. While Sixer king Yuvraj Singh was also bought at the base price of ₹1 crore. Apart from them, Barindra Saran was bought was the expensive purchase by Mumbai he was sold for ₹3.4 crores.
Joining Yuvraj Singh in the team can be a masterstroke for Mumbai, apart from this they have also included Malinga which can help other players to strengthen the bowling.
However, Mumbai Indians had retained 18 players and they had a slot to buy 7 players. With 2 overseas players and 5 domestic players, but they purchased 6 players making the total number of players in the team to 24.
